In recent years, advances in medical technology and prenatal screening have made it easier for pregnant women and their babies to have safe and healthy birth experiences. Thanks to modern advances like ultrasounds and fetal monitoring, doctors are now able to identify and prepare for many issues before birth that would have previously gone undetected.
Unfortunately, even with the best prenatal care, birth injuries still occur.
At Brown Trial Firm, we’re dedicated to helping children and families affected by preventable birth injuries and medical malpractice get the financial compensation they need to pay for the costly medical care and therapy required after a birth injury.
In addition to supporting families affected by birth injuries, Brown Trial Firm is also passionate about supporting today’s youth in their pursuit of higher education. That’s why we created a $1000 scholarship essay contest for college students.
This year, we asked students to give us their thoughts on the following prompt:
How have advancements in medicine led to a decline in birth injuries?
After reviewing more than 100 essay responses, we’re pleased to finally announce our winner: C. Carthy. Congratulations!
Thank you so much to everyone who entered this year’s contest. We really enjoyed reading all of your thoughtful ideas on this very important topic!
Think you could write a winning essay?
If you missed this contest or would like to participate in the next one, please visit our scholarship page for more information. Good luck!
